Testing laminating and cutting processes
At our technical centre, we test a wide range of combinations of materials and films for our customers.
We help you determine the conditions under which the desired result can be achieved most effectively. These findings form the basis for process planning and for selecting the right machine configuration.
Film-coating trials
For lamination trials, we use the following machines:
- A UVL Pro laminator with a 600 mm working width, two heated laminating rollers, a preheating unit (up to 200 °C) and a contact force of 2.6 kN. Roller-gap adjustment is possible up to 30 mm. The film unwinders are tension-controlled, and 3″ and 6″ expansion shafts are available.
- A UXL laminator with a working width of up to 1600 mm. It has a contact force of 10 kN, a roller gap of 100 mm and temperature control up to 160 °C.
We also provide rollers with various rubber hardnesses, as well as one non-stick rubber-coated roller and one hard roller. This allows the core process to be tested across a very wide parameter range.
Cutting process trials
For cutting trials, we use a GSC2 guillotine cutter with a cutting width of up to 700 mm, equipped with a compact unwinder, two slitting knives, a colour sensor and a sheet delivery unit.
